One day whisky tour to Perthshire The tour departs Edinburgh and heads northwest to South Queensferry for views of the magnificent Forth Bridges. We then continue over the bridge and drive north past Perth, the spiritual home of blended Scotch, to Highland Perthshire: a land of mountain, forest and silver rivers. Once over the Highland line the hills enclose as we make our way to Pitlochry and our first Distillery – Blair Athol. This fantastic distillery is a great introduction to the art of whisky, and its rich, nutty taste is superb. Afterwards, we will take you up into the hills and The Edradour distillery; smallest and most picturesque in Scotland. After lunch in a local inn, we will drive deeper into the mountains and take you for an inspirational forest and waterfall walk. The day finishes with a pint or two in a traditional local pub before we make our way south again to Edinburgh. |
